Privacy Policy
PDF Checker is designed to keep your documents private and under your control. No account is required. Imported PDFs, extracted text, client profiles, findings, and reports are processed and stored on your device.
Documents and app data
PDF Checker may process PDF content, text recognized on document pages, document metadata, annotations, links, form values, embedded-file information, page geometry, client profiles, rule settings, findings, and review decisions. This information stays on your device. We do not upload your document content to our servers.
Share extension, exports, and deletion
When you send a PDF to PDF Checker from the iOS Share Sheet, the app makes a private local working copy. PDF Checker never edits your original file. If you export a summary or share a file, the destination app or service you select handles it under that service’s own privacy practices. You can delete local reports and profiles in the app, or remove all locally stored app data by deleting the app.
Optional external-link checking
External-link checking is off by default. If you explicitly enable it, PDF Checker connects only to eligible public web addresses contained in the PDF to determine whether they respond. Those destination websites may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and request headers. PDF Checker blocks local, private, and link-local destinations and does not send document text with these requests.
Device authentication
If you enable app locking, authentication is handled by Apple’s operating-system services. PDF Checker does not receive, store, or transmit biometric data.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Payments are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate PDF Checker Pro subscriptions, restore entitlements, prevent purchase fraud, and understand aggregate purchase performance. RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase history and limited technical information needed to provide these services. We do not provide RevenueCat with your PDF content, extracted text, client names, email address, or a custom account identifier.
Purchase history is used for app functionality and purchase analytics, is not linked to your identity by us, and is not used to track you across apps or websites. RevenueCat’s handling of data is described in its privacy policy.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
PDF Checker contains no advertising SDK, does not use behavioral analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell personal information. RevenueCat provides only the purchase validation and aggregate purchase analytics described above.
Children
PDF Checker is a professional productivity app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal data processed by our service providers. Contact us for help with a privacy request. Purchase and payment records held by Apple are also governed by your Apple account and Apple’s privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
